AUSTRALIAN TURF
(Received 10 a.m.) MELBOURNE. July 24. The trainer. F. Musgrave, is of the opinion that the soreness which Ajax has been displaying in his work lately may be due to rheumatism. Ajax's preparation for spring racing may not be persevered with. The former Now Zealand horse, Araunah. played up so badly at the barrier at the Moonee Valley races yesterday that the stewards have barred him from racing in the metropolitan area in future.
