Tasman Air Call Charge Reduced
[Special to “Northern Advocate.”} WELLINGTON, This Day. The Hon. F. Jones, PostmasterGeneral, slated yesterday that, he was able to announce a 33 1-3 per cent reduction in the charge for radio telephone calls between New Zealand and Australia, and that the reduced charge would be brought into effect as from Monday next. The new rate is 10.'a minute, with a minimum charge of £l/10,-. For the financial year ended March 31 last, the business had developed to a total of 1448 calls, compared with 100 in the first year of operation in 1932.
