One Deluge This Week
Rocketed by a fall of 3.69 inches for the 24 hours ended Wednesday. July 20, the rainfall for last week reached 4.20 inches in Whang'arei. Wednesday's fall was the second heaviest for any one day during the year so far, and caused minor flooding in many districts. The week opened with two sunny rainless days, and Thursday and Friday were again beautifully tine, with mild temperatures. A much colder night on Friday was succeeded by heavy rain at the week-end.
