U.S. Sends Blunt Note To Mexico
(Received 10 a.m.) WASHINGTON, July 21. The Secretary oi' State, Mr Cordell Hull, in a Note to Mexico, bluntly accuses the Mexican Government ol failing to make an earnest effort to pay for the expropriated American-owned farmlands in Mexico. He proposes a monetary settlement by international arbitration. The Note alleges that the seizure of the property of foreign nationals without compensation has not only jeopardised the "good neighbour policy of the United States, but also the whole realm of amicable international relations.
