Rain In N. Wairoa
[Special to “Northern Advocate.”] DARGAVILE, Thursday. Heavy rain fell steadily throughout the district from yesterday morning until a late hour this morning, and all lowlying areas were flooded. Rainfall at Dargaville for the, 24 hours ended at 8 o’clock this morning was 2.2 inches. No damage was done to telegraph or power lines, although a severe gale raged during the night. The main route from Donnelly’s Crossing to Kaikohe is blocked on account of a slip, but it is expected that the route will again be open this evening or early tomorrow morning.
