The death occurred on Tuesday of Mrs Bert CoWie, of Awanui Road, Kaitaia. The late Mrs Cowie was a daughter of Mr J. Subritzky, and was 24 years of age. She had only been married about two years. Prior to the commencement of business at the annual meeting of the Maungaturoto Dairy Company yesterday the gathering stood in silence as a tribute to the memory of the late Mr Norman Finlayson, who had been a director for over 30 years. Mr G. Sandford, who for the past 10 years has been Waikato inspector to the Royal Insurance Company, has been transferred to Whangarei. He will be replaced by Mr J. G. P. Tapper, who will act as inspector for the Liverpool, London and Globe, and Royal Company.
