j [Special to “Northern Advocate”! | HAMILTON, This Day. There was an exceptionally heavy yarding of all classes of fat sheep tat the Frankton stock sale yesterday. Heavy prime fat wethers remained firm, and in some cases prime quality Bheep showed improvement. Fat ewes remained on a par with last s'ales, while fat hoggets showed an j improvement. Store sheep were 1 again dull of sale, j A full entry of cow and heifer beef tame forward, with only a small proportion of finished cattle. Competi--1 tion was firm, values showing slight improvement. 1 There Was a light yarding of all classes of fat pigs. Competition was keen for baconers and porkers, with values fully up to last week's quotations, while light and unfinished porkers showed a slight rise on recent values. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., quote: Sheep.—Prime heavy wethers, 30/9 to 33/; medium, 27/6 to 30/; lighter sorts, 22/ to 26/; prime heavy ewes, 20/ to 22/; medium, 17/6 to 19/6; unfinished, 13/ to 16/; prime fat hoggets, 22/ to 24/6; medium, 18/6 to 21/3; good store hoggets, 14/6 to 17/9; others, 10/ to 14/. Cattle. —Prime heavy Shorthorn bullocks, £ll to £l2 12/; good quality Shorthorn bullocks, £lO to £11; lighter, £8 to £9 10/; good quality Hereford heifers, £8 10/ to £9 15/; lighter £7 10/ to £8 15/; ordinary fat Jersey cows, £4 10/ to £5 10/; lighter, £3 15/ to £4; heavy boners, £4 to £5 10/; lighter, £2 15/ to £3 10/; potters, £1 10/ to £2 5/.
