Difficult Days For Migration
[Per Press Association. Copyright .] WELLINGTON, This Day. "Political uncertainty, both at Home and all ever the world, undoubtedly militate against the spirit of migration.” stated the annual report of the New Zealand Association of Public Schools of Great Britain, read by the chairman, Sir Andrew Russell, at the annual meeting in Wellington. Sir Andrew Russell raised the question of whether it would be wiser to close down the work of the association. but it was decided that activities in this direction be continued quietly, until the end of the year, at least. The opinion of the meeting was that the migration question was not dead, but merely awaiting an opportunity. It was considered that the present Government was apathetic about the matter.
