The semi-final of the competition for the J. S. Woolley trophy was fired at Monday night’s shoot of the Whangarei Miniature Rifle Club. As the result J. Pattison and M. Stewart are leading the field, each with 494 points, followed by A. Rolfe-Smith 49C. and L. Holmes, 489. Further rounds of the self-handicap and the F. Cowan trophy competitions were also fired. The Tisdall Handicap button was annexed by L. Holmes. The club’s fornightly trophy went to R. Massey, with 17 points. Otb'r figures were: L. Holmes 14. J. Pntxison and A. Rolfe-Smith 11. The best of the night's scores wore: L. Holmes. 97—3—100; A. Rolfe-Smith 90—10—100; Miss Clark. 92—6—99; R. Massey, 93—6—99; J. Covacich, 8415—99; M. Stewart. 95—3—98; J. Roberts, 94—4—48; J. Pattison, 92—10 (102) 96 A. Higgins, 99—4—(103) 94.
