Improved Harbour Board Accommodation
Replacing the former glassed-in tower which stood in the centre ot the main goods shed at the Town Wharf, a new office built in the corner of the shed is providing improved accommodation for the Whangarei Harbour Board staff! in supervising the unloading, storage and distribution of cargo. The new office is much larger than its predecessor, being 15 feet long and 9 feet wide (the former structure being only 7 feet 6 inches square), and, with glass walls, provides a much better view of the entire shed.
