Pneumonia Follows On Measles
[Per Press Association. Copyright.] , WELLINGTON, This Day.
‘•Although the measles epidemic appears to be easing off in most parts of Wellington, it is increasing in the Hutt Valley.’’ said Dr. F. S. McLean, medical officer of health at Wellington, last night. “There is every likelihood of the disease remaining prevalent for another month or two.’ ’
Evidence of the severity of the outbreak is shown by the fact that since midnight on Friday twelve persons, including two adults, have been taken to hospital suffering from pneumonia or other measles complications. Six of that number were taken yesterday.
