Hukerenui Show Improved Play
To Hukerenui supporters, the five goals scored by Ramblers in the B grade competition on Saturday might have been a disappointment. From the outset it was apparent that the town side had the better team. Nevertheless, Hukerenui players showed a considerable improvement, and deserve praise for the manner in which they dealt with such old campaigners as Ramblers arc able to put on the field. New to hockey this season, and with many young players, Hukerenui is learning fast. For Ramblers, N. Johnson and J. Kerr each scored twice and E. Hay netted a single goal. Messrs. Patterson and Oldcorn were umpires.
