More Bobby Calf Pools In North
The formation of voluntary bobby calf pools is proceeding apace throughout the North. The OruruFairburn company was among the first to secure the 80 per cent, of signatures necessary under the Government regulations. However, no move has been made as yet, awaiting the result of the canvass of suppliers being made by the neighbouring Kaitaia company, with which it is proposed to form a joint pool. “Whether we will proceed on cur own in the event of Kaitaia not securing the requisite support has not been considered by the company as yet,” said Mr J. W. Hoskin, chairman of the company, who was in Whangarei on Saturday afternoon.
