An expenditure of £6,312.530 on pensions during the year ended March 31 last is shown in the annual report of the Pensions Department which was presented in the House of Representatives yesterday. * This represents an increase cf £1,372,102 over the pension payment fcr the previous year. A table In the report shows the gross payment for the past two years Of all pensions administered by the department. Details are as follows; — Class of Pension. 1936-37. 1937-38.
