Personal. Mrs G. Yearbury, who has been visiting the district, has returned home. The Waiotira postmaster, Mr Donald, is spending a few days of his annual leave at Dargaville, Mr Lyons, of Portland, acting as relieving postmaster in his absence. Farewell Social Evening:. A number of the gentlemen of the district gathered at a social evening on Monday to farewell Mr M. Edward, who is leaving for Ohaeawai. Mr L. Bicknell occupied the chair. In presenting the guest of the evening with a handsome travelling case, Mr M. Mason, president of the Waiotira Football Club, mentioned MiEdward's valued support to the club for a long period, particularly in later years when he had been captain of the team. He had, said Mr Mason, no doubt played a large part in keeping the team together. Other speakers were Messrs N. Sloan. G. Kennedy, H. Peters. L. Bicknell, C. Berridge and W. J. Moore, all of whom eulogised Mr Edward';; efforts in the interests of the district.
