Sydney Meat Famine
(Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY. This Day. The meat employees' union, at a meeting yesterday, decided to continue the strike of mutton slaughtermen, and if volunteers were engaged, that the beef slaughtermen would stop work immediately. There will be a mutton famine in Sydney over the week-end. and prices of meat have risen 25 per cent. > i i
