Dawsons Ltd., commenting on the wool outlook, states that while Merinos are reasonable at present levels, the lack of consumption at blanket and carpet mills is affecting the consumption of crossbreds. New Zealand greasy crossbred, “Kereone,” Bfjd to 9Jd: slipe, half bred lambs, “Three Stars,” Hid to 13d. Chicken Roly Poly. | Take 2 cupfuls minced chicken, 2 onions, 2 teaspoonfuls salt (scant), a cupful chopped fried bacon, 4 tablespoonfuls minced parsley, i teaspoonful pepper, 4 cupfuls sifted flour, 4 teaspoonfuls baking powder, 4oz butter, stock, about 1 cupful water. Sift the flour with baking powder and one teaspoonful of the salt.. Rub in the butter with the tips of fingers. Mix to a dough with the water. Turn on to a floured board. Divide into two portions. Roll each out to quarterinch thick. Meanwhile, place chicken in a basin with the onions grated, finely-chopped parsley, diced bacon, and remainder of salt and pepper. Mix well. Moisten with stock or giblet gravy. Spread on pastry. Roll and press ends of pastry firmly together. Place on a well-greased baking-tin ; and bake for thirty-five minutes in a j moderate oven. I
