Registered Mail Disappears
[Special to “Northern Advocated GISBORNE, This Day. A bag of registered mail, which was to have been delivered at the Morerc Post Office, is reported to have disappeared while in transit from Wairoa. The driver of the mail van placed the bag on the seat beside him, and left Wairoa at 8.30 p.m. Before handing over the mail at Morere, he left the truck for a few minutes to have a cup of tea. When he returned, the bag was not there.
