Pilot Saves Bomber Crew
LONDON. June 10. The crew of six of a R.A.F. bomber had a remarkable escape, to which the coolness and resource of the pilot largely contributed, when the machine burst into flames at 4COO feet when (lying ever Leicester. The crew debated whether or not to take to parachutes, but the pilot turned off the petrol and eventually the air rush blew cut the fire. The pilot then restarted the other engine, and landed at Leicester airport.
