Over 90 Per Cent. Of County Rates Collected
The percentage of rates collected in the Whangarei county for the past year amounted to 90.50 per cent, as against 86.50 per cent last year. The collections in the individual ridings was as follows, the ridings being placed in alphabetical order: — Hikurangi, 93.64; Kiripaka, 89.90; Maunu, 96.59; Mangakahia. 84.33; Mangapai, 84.58; Maungakaramea, 95.58; Manaia, 88.40; Wairua, 90.17; Otonga, 87.66; Waipu, 93.25.
