Health Plan Summary Being Prepared
[Special To “Northern Advocate"! WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government caucus, having approved the final draft of the National Health and Superannuation Scheme, a small sub-committee isworking"on the preparation of a summary, which will be announced by the Prime Minister during the week-end. “This,” said Mr Savage today, “will convey the general particulars, such as can be understood by the public. The report submitted to the caucus contains a large amount of detail.”
Meteorological Expansion. The increasing work i'jt the Meteorological Office at Kelburn, Wellington, isnecessitating a larger sjtaff, and that in turn has necessitated Jan extension of the present building, j An addition at the back of the buildhhg will make provision for a new library, the present library being converged into two rooms. Four additional rfooms on the top of the building will afford much needed extra accommojdation. In course of time, when the f.jir services J necessitate a 24-hour meteorological service—and that is probably not very far ahead—further accommodation may be needed. \
