So closely contested have been the inter-club competitions that the North Auckland Tennis Asosciation finds itself rather embarrassed in getting off all the post-section play before the end of the season. In the B and C grades it is not likely that finality will be reached before' April 23. In Section 1 of the B grade championship, Hora Hora, Matarau and Whangarei each scored fhi'ee wins. Last Saturday Hora Hora eliminated Matarau by eight sets to three, and will meet Whangarei on April 3 to decide which team should meet Bargain Stores, winner of Section 2. in the final.

By defeating Kauri, winning team in Section 4, Stanley Street, Section 3 winners, qualified to meet Kamo in the deciding match for the C title. HORA HORA V. MATARAU. Playing on their home courts. Hora Hora defeated Matarau in, the quar-ter-final of the B grade. 8 sets to 3, 81 games to 61. Three sets were abandoned on account of the weather.
