Jubilee Park To Be Improved

The Northland Rugby League is contemplating a progressive programme, extending over throe years, for the improvement of Jubilee Park. Principal features of the plan arc: — (1) Erection of a grandstand, with showers and dressing room accommodation. 5 , (2J Prevision of sanitary arrangements. (2) Further levelling and Improving of the playing areas at the park. A scheme on these lines was sub mitted to a meeting of the executive attended by representatives of all affiliated clubs last night. Tile first matter which it is hoped to put in hand Is the erection of a grandstand, to be completed this season. The redrafting of the constitution of the League, incorporating several iar-reaching amendments to rules was also considered. Owing to- the im--portance of the subjects for discussion, the meeting was adjourned at a late ; hour without finality being reached. A further executive meeting will be held next Sunday, and it is now likely that the annual meeting of the League will not be held until later than * hitherto contemplated.
