Portugal Denies Revolution

The Government, taking the first notice of recent rumours of a revolution, mainly emanating from Spanish Government radio broadcasts, admits that Army reorganisation, including a reduction in pensions, caused concern in military circles, but adds that there is complete order throughout the
country. Agitators were mistaken in believing that it was possible to persuade the Portuguese Army to destroy the political stability on which the Army is founded.
