Bran Muffins. 1 cup flour 3 ozs. sugar 1 egg 4 ozs. chopped dates 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 cup bran 3 ozs. butter teaspoon salt Few sultanas 1 j}- cup milk Put flour and bran into bowl. Rub in butter, add other dry ingredients and mix with beaten egg and milk. Put into deep patty tins. (This' quantity makes 18 muffins). Bake in moderate oven about A both*. (Sent in by Norma Carter). Pineapple Cake. jib. butter 6 ozs. sugar 3 eggs Jib. flour j cup milk .1 teaspoon baking powder 6 ozs. pineapple chopped small Beat sugar and butter to a cream, add eggs one at a time, beating in well. Sift in flour and baking powder. Add milk and lastly pineapple. Bake in a moderate oven for about 1 hour. (Sent in by Elma Webb, Oakleigh)
