Moonlight
(Copied by Emma Crompton, Ruakaka.) The pear tree in the garden lifts its blossoms to the moon>. And underneath in shadovjs deep White lilies of the valley sleep, And daisy huds strewn.
Like incense round the tree. The warm breath of the lilies drifts There is no sound of wind or bird, But the long sigh of earth is heard In a white ecstasy.
