Our Heat Wave Continues
Whaugaroi continues to swelter under real summer conditions. Last night there was a decided drop in. the temperature, but after a cool opening tc the, morning, it. was as hoi as ever in the town. Despite the hundreds cf people who arc still temporary inhabitants of the beaches, no cases of sunstroke have been reported, though sunburning is quite common and there have been some rather bad cases. The necessity to avoid excessive sunbathing is stressed by medical authorities. Toe- much sun can be a definite menace to health.
