The features of the track work at Elierslie this morning were the efforts of S:i Abb. Droll and White Foam over half a mile, and a splendid gallop by Kelly over seven furlongs. No. 1 grass track, with the poles 10 feet out from the rails, was used for fast work apd provided first-class going.

Knight of Australia strode over seven furlongs in 1.38 1-5, the last half-mile taking 56 1-5 seconds. This horse looks well after his holiday racing. Bonny Belle came home from the three furlong post in 38 3-5 seconds —a useful effort for a novice. Trcvacc was running on nicely at the conclusion of half a mile, which occupied 52 2-5 seconds. Over a similardistance. Bronze Ora and Aero Queen recorded 50 4-5 seconds. The formerhad a shade the better of it at the end.

Gay Bronoy Returning- to Form

Silver Sound cmopleted half a mile in 52 l-ssecs. Gay Broney completed a round by covering his last six furlongs in 1.24 4-5, the final half-mile in 54 3-ssecs. He looks as if he will soon return to his best again. Kelly went attractively over seven furlongs, which occupied 1.30. He ran the last six furlongs in 1.17. and the final halfmile in 50 l-ssecs. A decision will be made this afternoon as to whether the Kilbroney gelding will fulfill his engagements at the Wellington meeting. Glen Abb had Surella to assist him over half a mile, but the latter fell after going a little over a furlong, and Glen Abb came home alone in 50 2-5 secs. Surella and his rider both escaped injury.

Englishman Goes Comfortably Master Appellant and Bright Idea covered the same ground in 53 secs., Silver Quex taking 54 l-ssecs. Kena got to the end of six furlongs in 1.19 2-5. He had a bit in reserve at the finifh. Bronze Lady shaded Rajanya at the end of seven furlongs, which took 1.35 1-5. Englishman, was going comfortably while traversing six furlongs in 1.24 3-5. Privy Seal and Quilp ran half a mile in 50 3-5 secs., the first furlong taking 12 2-5 secs. Thurlap was given an easy half mile, which occupied 56 l-ssccs. Droll and Ringshot, after taking 12 1-5 secs, for the first- furlong, completed half a mile in 50 secs. From a standing start, United came homo from the half-mile post in 52 3-5 secs. Haputale

was going easily over the same ground to record 55 secs.

The best half-mile sprint of the morning was that of Sir Abb, who covered the distance in 49 seconds, the first furlong taking 12 1-5 secs. White Foam put plenty of. dash into a similar task, which occupied 50 2-5 secs. Others to Work Other horses to do useful work were Kiionsoa, Fleetwind. Mundane, Land Girl. Rereatu, Jolly Dance, Psv chologist, Stretto, Trackman, Bronze Wing, Palmint, Royal Appellant. Clansman, Siega. Pasture, Te Hal, Avail, Valmint, Clembroney, Royal Abb, First Gold Money and Bronze Emerald. Neil cleared a couple of hurdles in good style, and afterwards worked ever a round on the No. 1 grass track. My Money was given a further trial over a couple of the pony hurdles and shaped a good deal better than last week.
