The features of the track work at Elierslie this morning were the efforts of S:i Abb. Droll and White Foam over half a mile, and a splendid gallop by Kelly over seven furlongs. No. 1 grass track, with the poles 10 feet out from the rails, was used for fast work apd provided first-class going.

Knight of Australia strode over seven furlongs in 1.38 1-5, the last half-mile taking 56 1-5 seconds. This horse looks well after his holiday racing. Bonny Belle came home from the three furlong post in 38 3-5 seconds —a useful effort for a novice. Trcvacc was running on nicely at the conclusion of half a mile, which occupied 52 2-5 seconds. Over a similardistance. Bronze Ora and Aero Queen recorded 50 4-5 seconds. The formerhad a shade the better of it at the end.

Gay Bronoy Returning- to Form

Silver Sound cmopleted half a mile in 52 l-ssecs. Gay Broney completed a round by covering his last six furlongs in 1.24 4-5, the final half-mile in 54 3-ssecs. He looks as if he will soon return to his best again. Kelly went attractively over seven furlongs, which occupied 1.30. He ran the last six furlongs in 1.17. and the final halfmile in 50 l-ssecs. A decision will be made this afternoon as to whether the Kilbroney gelding will fulfill his engagements at the Wellington meeting. The best half-mile sprint of the morning was that of Sir Abb, who covered the distance in 49 seconds, the first furlong taking 12 1-5 secs. Neil cleared a couple of hurdles in good style, and afterwards worked ever a round on the No. 1 grass track.
