Coincidence In Nurses’ Exam.
By a coincidence, two Whangavc : High School girls, who have both taken up nursing as a profession, and v/ho are training at the Auckland Hospital, gained exactly similar distinctions in the State examinations. In the June State examination. Miss Nancy Hughes won the gold medal at the Auckland Hospital and topped New Zealand in the examination. In the December examination. Miss Alice Reid won the gold medal and also topped New Zealand. This' is probably the first time (hat two Whangarei girls have accomplished such a performance, but as there are several other trainees from Whangarei in Auckland, it is' not beyond the bounds 'of possibility that at the next examination Whangarei might set a triple record hard: to beat.
