CLIPPER AT KINGMAN REEF. At 3 p.m. a message was received stating that the Samoan Clipper, on its journey from America to New Zealand, had reached Kinsman Reef. CAN ADLAN GAMES. ’ The Canadian Empire Games party, numbering 95, of which 80 are actual j competitors, passed through Auckland by the Aorangi to-day. The manager of the team, Mr M. M. Robinson, expressed the hope that the Games would be eventually brought to New Zealand, but did not think they would be held here in 1940. MILFORD TRACK ENTHUSIASM. The Hon. D. G. Sullivan, Minister of Railways, who passed through Dunedin on his 'way north, spoke enthusiastically of the attractions and beauties of the walks over the Milford Sound track. Wild, headmaster of the Feilding Agricultural High School, who returned by the Aorangi, after nine months spent in study abroad under a Carnegie travelling fellowship. MYSTERY DISAPPEARANCE. The disappearance of a boy while j swimming at Milford this morning, i witnessed by a workman close at hand, | has created a mystery which is at 1 present being investigated by the | police.
