Successful Health Camp At Port Waikato
[Special To “ Norther « Advocate”] PORT WAIKATO, This Day..
Brilliant weather has made the Health Camp at Port Waikato a complete success in all respects this season. The land on which the tents and camping equipment is pitched was donated by the late Mr Edward Spargo. Further land was purchased and the league now owns about 120 acres, part of which consists of steep bush-clad hills. The camp was visited yesterday by the Hon. W. Lee Martin, Minister of Agriculture, who was accompanied by Mrs Lee Martin and his daughter, Miss Daisy Lee Martin. When the present inmates return homo after a three weeks’ holiday, their places will be taken by 150 other children.
