Christ Church. Whangarei, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Wednesday, December 27, when Rena Beryl, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs *E. G. W. Tibbifs, of Y/hangarei, was married to Oswald Melville Georgeson, only son of Mr and Mrs Georgeson, of Wellington. * Entering the church with her father, the bride wore a gown of deep parchment satin, cut on classical lines. The bodice, with a square neckline in front, and a high petal stitched collar, was finished at the back with satin roulettes; these also finished the tightfitting sleeves to the elboyr. The slimfitting skirt fell gracefully to a longpointed train, finished with satin rouleftes graduating in size from the waist. Her embroidered tulle veil was held in place with a halo of orange blossoms mounted in satiji loops and a bouquet of cream lilies, pink carnations and maidenhair completed her toilette. Miss Kathleen Cullen attended her as bridesmaid and wore an attractive frock of pink taffeta. The bodice with its full puff sleeves, and square neckline in front was cut to a V at the back and finished with satin buttons. The long slim-fitting skirt fell in full flares from the knees. ’ She wore a pleated halo of pink taffeta and carried a bouquet of pink roses and carnations. A reception was held at the Marble Bar where the guests were received by Mrs Tibbits,, who wore a navy patterned frock under a navy coat and carried a scarlet bouquet. Mrs Georgeson wore a frock of black lace and carried a gold bouquet. A feature of the wedding breakfast was the twotiered cake made by the bride’s aunt, Mrs G. Dodds, Paparoa. The bride travelled in a navy and red patterned frock under a navy taffeta coat, with navy and red accessories. Mr and Mrs Georgeson will make their home in Whangarei.
