Owing to an escape of electric power from a detective lamp socket at the Feilding railway yards on Tuesday night, three fat lambs were ciectvocutod. It was net until one of the drovers in charge of the work of trucking received a shock .himself that he realised the trouble. Going into- the >ards to ascertain why the lambs were so huddled up and appearing afraid. Mr W. Hooper, of Feilding, felt a shock as he touched one of the sheep. It appeared that rain in the afternoon had left a channel. down which electricity had leaked from a power polo, thus making the yard alive. A dozen lambs were rendered unconscious before the trouble was discovered. three of them dying.
