Amiable equalled the weight-carry-ing record for a filly in the Stand ish Handicap, sporting writers acclaiming her the best three-year-old sprinter since Waltzing Lily. The "Sydney Morning Herald’s" Melbourne representative says no more consistent filly has been seen for a long time, she having scored four wins, a second and a fourth in her last six starts.
