(Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, January 3. In the Sheffield Shield cricket match New South Wales beat Queensland. The former, in the first innings, made 241 runs (Fingleton 65, Barnes 50).) Cook took six wickets for 94. Queensland, in the second innings, scored 105 for seven wickets (Tallon 41).
