CLIPPER ARRIVES AT HONOLULU

r l lie Pan-American Clipper, which left Kingman Reef on the last stage of its flight from Auckland to Honolulu ai 4.20 a.in. this morning, arrived at Honolulu at 11.46 a.m. Both these times are New Zealand times. This would allow connection with the Martin flying-boat on its flight from Honolulu to San Francisco.
The Martin flying-boat is expected 'o arrive at its destination at 9 a.m. to-
morrow. The Clipper grade an exceptionally fast passage on the last stage, taking only six hours 15 minutes. Stamps used for the first air mail from New Zealand by the Pan-American Clipper yielded a total of £4154, and letters numbered 25,034. The distance from Pago Pago to Kingman Reef is 1400 miles, which was flown in 10 hours 22 minutes. A radio report from the commander. Captain Edwin C. Mustek, stated that the flight was uneventful, and that there were seine clouds over some sections of the journey, but this made no difference to the progress of the Clipper, which encountered fair weather generally and light winds.
