World’s Leading Boxers
(Received noon). NEW YORK, December 27. The. magazine, “The Ring,” terms Joe Louis and Henry Armstrong the outstanding boxers of the year. Not only is Armstrong listed as the best featherweight, of which division he is champion, but also of the lightweights, in which class Ambers is ranked as champion. Of the heavyweights, the German, Schmeling, is placed second, Tommy Farr third, and James Braddock, former world champion, seventh.
