ITALIAN EXHIBITION. Imperial Rome of the present day glorifies the Golden Age of Augustus , the first Emperor of Rome, in the exhibition recently opened by Signor Mussolini in a new palace on the Via Nazionale,, Rome, in honour of the 2000th anniversary of the birth of Augustus in 63 B.C. The exhibition, which is permanent, includes thousands of piaster casts and plaster models showing every phase of Rome at the height of its glory. ABOVE. Signor Mussolini, is seen opening the Augustan Exhibition, which includes a comparison between the Fascist era of today and the splendid era of two thousand years ago with a special section illustrating the achievements of Fascism in its sixteenth year. On LEFT, the statue of the first Avgas tan Emperor standing before a emulation from one of the Ones of Horace extolling the Roman race. Oasts of the Imperial coins with Imperial eagles are along the walls.

NURSES CONFER.— Delegates from all parts of the Dominion who attended the conference at Wellington. of the Registered Nurses' Association, photographed outside the Dominion Farmers' Institute, where the conference opened. In the Middle of the front row is Miss Bicknell (in spotted frock), and second from the right is Miss Lambic, Director of Nursing in New 'Zealand.
