Hearing Of Evidence
The Local Government (Amalgamation Schemes) Bill commenced hearing evidence today. The president of the Municipal Association. Mr T. Jordan, supported both regional planning and amalgamation. The general opinion of the association, he said, was one of opposition to the compulsory nature of the amalgamation.
