Alarm was caused in several southcoast centres, including Stanwell Park, Scarborough, Clifton and Coalcliff, when earth tremors, accompanied by loud rumblings, occurred yesterday, says a Sydney message. Buildings were shaken and windows broken.

The visiting American tennis players, Budge and Mako, who arrived at Sydney by the Monterey, said they v/ere looking forward to playing on Australian courts and under Australian conditions.
