CHILD’S ORDEAL BY BODIES OF MURDERED PARENTS

(Received 12.30 p.m.) COLUMBUS (Montana). Nov. 28

A child’s shocking 24-hours’ ordeal beside the bodies of his murdered parents was revealed when six-year-old Larry Kuntz last night hailed a passerby and said: “There’s nobody home. They shot mother and daddy last night."

The passer-by saw that Larry's head was covered in blood, and hurried to the grain elevator, of which his father, Mike Kuntz, aged 35. was manager.

lie found a car inside, Kuntz was slumped across the wheel, with three bullet wounds in his head. Mrs Kuntz, aged 28. lay in the hack seat with two bullet wounds in her body.

Larry told the police a rambling story of leaving homo with his parents on Friday night, and picking up a man and a woman, hitch-hikers. After then, he remembered nothing. Police believe that Larry, who was sent to hospital seriously hurt, was beaten over the head with a pistol butt.

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion.
