Among those ordained by Archbishop Averill at St. Mary’s Cathedral yesterday morning, was Mr J. C. .Guinness, who was ordained deacon, and will be assistant curate at Christ Church, Whangarei. • .
A visitor to Whangarei is Mr W. H. Rose, well-known citizen of Christchurch. Mr Rose attended the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church held at Auckland, and extended his northern tour in order to make acquaintance with Northland.
