Mr Savage Leaves For Home
(Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 24
A large crowd farewelled the New Zealand Prime Minister, Mr M. J. Savage, at Liverpool. Street Station. They sang . “For He’s a Jolly Good Follow.” and cheered.
Mr Chamberlain’s private secretary brought a message of Godspeed. In a farewell statement, Mr Savage thanked the Government on behalf of his delegation and all New Zealanders, for the generous hospitality extended to them.
He regretted that, owing to pressure of work, he had been unable to accept a host of invitations from all parts of the .United Kingdom.
