Discovery Of Vosper Body Puzzles Experts
(Received 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 24, Experts familiar with tides in the English Channel are puzzled by the fact that the body of Frank Vosper, noted British stage and cinema actor, who committed suicide by jumping overboard from the French liner en route from New York to Plymouth earlier this month following a party on board, was found so far east as Eastbourne, where it was washed ashore on the beach. Apparently it had drifted 260 miles in 16 days, but this is thought to be very unlikely, as the tides run at only three to four knots. Experts are puzzled by the fact that the sea had unclothed the body.
