Mangakahia Club
The annual general meeting of the Mangakahia Golf Club was held at Parakao on Monday night.' Mr P. Birch presided over a good attendance. The report and balance sheet, disclosing a favourable balance, werp adopted. During the season a lawn mower had been purchased, the greens fenced, and the fairways pegged. Visits were exchanged with neighbouring clubs, when team matches were played. Officers elected for the forthing sea* son \ were:—President, Mr P. Birch; vice-president, Mr W. Wilson; secretary and treasurer, Mr F. Platt; club capain, Mr C. Davidson; vice-captain, Mrs R. Pollock; committee, Messrs G. Hunter, J. Alison, F. Grantham and R. Pollock. Satisfactory - arrangements were made with Mr F, Grantham regarding the links on hls/fdi’m. Donations of lime and superphosphate were made by Messrs N. Wilson and C. Coxhead. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr D. Cairns, P.oroti, for nis offer of a cup for ladies’ competition.
