Pre-Holiday Call; Little Change In Values [Special To “Northern ' Advocate.”} AUCKLAND, This Day. Members of the Auckland Stock Exchange held their last call before the Easter vacation this morning. The final gathering provided an opportunity for the clearing up of orders, and there were not many changes in Values. In the banking section, a parcel of Australasias was transferred 1/6 low;er, at £l3. Buyers came in for Nationals of Australia at £ls 15/, but there were no sellers. Amongst Australian issues, the most notable was a deal in Colonial Sugars, which, at £35, touched their highest point for a considerable period. Ml Lyells recovered with business at £2 12/, and, in each case, more could have been placed at the same price; In local issues, Farmer’s Trading and Milne and Choyce were in demand. N.Z. Newspapers confirmed the recent easier trend, with a sale 1/ lower, at £1 18/. Wilsons’ Cements were steady between £1 14/9; and £ 1 16/. Woolworths (New Zealand) finished up strongly with business 1/6 l higher, at £7 7/6. 1 Government stocks were quiet, but a few sales were recorded in the' elearing-up process.
