Prominent Social Worker Passes
[British Official Wireless ,] RUGBY, March 22. The death has occurrbd of Mrs Mary Higgs, 0.8. E., of Oldham, Lancashire, . aged 83 years. Her life was devoted to social work, particularly on behalf of friendless tramps and for nearly 50 years her whole energies were directed towards improving the conditions of the poor and particularly to the provision of decent accommodation for homeless women.
