Seven Killed in Puerto Rico Riot

(Received 10 a.m.) NEW YORK, March 21. 1 A message from Ponce, in the West : Indian islands of Puerto Rico, says an attempt by the priests to hold a Na--1 tionalist demonstration resulted in a riot in which seven, persons were killed, two of them being policemen, and 50 were injured. The police fired on the crowd with riot guns and pistols. Twenty-six of the demonstrators were arrested and extra guards placed on streets. Puerto Rico is a dependency of the United States.
