The weather was fine and there was a large attendance or the second day of the Bay of Plenty Racing Club’s meeting today. The track was in good order.—
Novice Handicap, of 100 sovs; six furlongs.—(l-2) Llangollen, 9.1, 1; (5-5) Bass, 8.3, 2; (4-3) Miss Mestor, 8.7, 3. Fourteen started. A head; three-quar-ters of a length. Time —1.15. Motiti Handicap, of 135 sovs; two-year-olds; five furlongs.—(2-2) Barricade, 8.2, 1; (3-3) Desert Wings, 7.8 2,(1) Min Lu, 8.4, 3. Ten started. A neck; half a length. Time—l.2 1-5. Kaimai Hurdles, of 160 sovs; one mile and three-quarters.—(2-4) Spear? court, 9.0, 1; (4-2) General Ruse, 9.2, 2; (3-3) High Star, 9.0, 3. Eight started. A length and a half; half a length. Time—3.l4 1-5.
