The sole female member of the crew of the ketch Te Rapunga, on its wanderings about the Pacific, Miss Eileen Morris, the 22-yeaf-old Napier girl, is eager to return to the unhindered life which she recently left to spend Christmas with her people. Far from reducing her liking for the sea, the brief spell ashore has only sharpened her appetite for wandering, and Miss Morris leaves at the end of this month for Auckland, en route to Honolulu, where she expects to rejoin Captain George Dibbern and Mr Roy Murdoch, the other members of the crew.
